The release of the C4 Experiment album has done some great things and one of them is to get cool companies to recognize the value in good production. O’Neill Snowboards and C4 ENT have reached an agreement whereby C4 Beats will be used on upcoming snowboard videos to be published on their website as well as magazines such SBC and TWS.
The C4 ENT logo will also be shown at the end of each video, letting you know who cooked up the beats for your listening pleasure.

Here’s the artwork for my first full length project set to be released on June 15th 2010.
“The C4 Experiment” will include at least 15 tracks produced by C4. The first single ” Real City Allstars” ( featuring Bad News Brown, Magnum 357, I.Blast and Milli Millz) is currently creating a buzz by landing song of the day on http://www.hiphopcanada.com as well as taking the #1 spot on the Real City countdown after only 2 weeks.

We’ve been working hard and I want to take time to thank all of the artists I’ve had the opportunity to work with, as well as the streams that support what I do.

Interview with Myles for HIPHOPCANADA.COM

Montreal, QC – HipHopCanada recently partnered with C4 Entertainment and the Make a Wish Foundation which has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. This time around the Make a Wish Foundation wanted to grant a wish to an aspiring artist who hoped to record and release a song – 16-year old Myles Guenin.

HipHopCanada’s Tara Muldoon and Montreal producer C4 were hands on with the project of making Myles Guenin’s wish come true. Here are their fist hand accounts of working with Myles:

“In the last 6 months, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Myles Guenin, a 16 year old boy from my hometown of Montreal, Quebec. A friend had approached me about getting involved with him through the Make a Wish Foundation.

Myles suffers from a chronic case of Lupus which affects his immune system and of course, his general outlook on life. The more I got to know him, the more I realized that he is actually more determined than most boys his age. I’ve heard someone say that a struggle allows a person to manifest his strength, that’s exactly what this boy does every single day.” – C4

“Even though I work in this industry daily, the power of hip-hop still amazes me. When C4 hit me up to be behind a hip-hop related project for the Make A Wish Foundation I agreed instantly but didn’t realize the powerful outcome.

Myles has shown me to be fearless about my passion – I know he will touch many with his career.” – Tara Muldoon

Myles Guenin wrote about his experience in battling SLE Lupus and working with the Make a Wish Foundation. Check it out here and then be sure to listen to the song he recorded with producer C4.

I’ve always been a big fan of hip-hop. It has played a big part of my life ever since I heard Lupe Fiasco’s (my favourite rapper) Food and Liquor and The Cool… that’s when I started to write. But it was last year when I was in the hospital when my brother introduced me to Drake for the first time – that is when I really began to take music more seriously, knowing that if I work hard I would make it there too.

I have SLE Lupus (a chronic autoimmune connective tissue disease that can affect any part of the body). Within 3 weeks it affected the joints, pancreas, skin, kidney, lungs, blood, and the brain. I had a fever for 7 straight weeks and all the medication did not work as planned as I had many many bad reactions. The only way to treat this aggressive disease was with chemotherapy treatments for 7 months. I take medication to control the disease that is right now in remission.

I spent 3 months in the hospital and the doctors wanted to do things to make me happy as I went to rough times.  That is how Make A Wish came to be. My family and I meet with the two Wish grantors Maryse and Josh and that is how we came up with what I wanted. They asked me all these questions and what I really wanted was a laptop to make music.

I had a shopping spree at this store called Moog and then the Apple store. Then they told us that I would meet with a producer to go to a studio and make a song. My experience with the making of the song was amazing, I loved it. And working with C4 was also amazing. He is someone I could get along with very well. He’s funny and works hard and he’s really good at what he does. Hopefully C4 and I can do more work in the future. When C4 sent us the beat he made for us (my crew, Big Dreams) we all knew this had to be a serious song about us. Because this was going to be our first really big song,  we made the song about the things we want in life or what we have and about becoming famous.

I hope other lupus patients out there know to never give up and be strong no matter what. And to never say never because if I said never I would of never gotten better.

I’m currently working on dropping a new mixtape and still discussing things with my partner Matthew “Showtime” John. We’re looking to get some professional help. We want to step it up this year in 2010. We are still unsigned and have no manager or nothing to help us; we just do everything on our own. So hopefully after this song things will start to look better for us.

Oy Vey! We at IMYOURPRODUCER.COM are truly amazed at the amount of press that Busta Rhymes was able to score with “Arab Money” . There have been countless debates surrounding “Arab Money” and the video has now been deemed racist by many viewers. The fact that Busta decided create lyrics out of exerpts from holy Coran is probably the worst thing he could’ve done. Either way, we still believe Busta’s decision to put the song out was based on one golden rule: Any publicity is good publicity.

Being politically correct is overrated; it’s about making movements, getting people involved and having fun with the craft. Busta’s team understands this and although we can’t say that ” Arab money” is our favourite song of his, it definitely helped promote his upcoming album quite well.

” The minute I heard Arab Money I knew it was something I could remake in just about an hour. The melody, drums and structure are so simple and the song begged for a Hebrew remix. I recorded the hook and began thinking about who I could get on the track. The choice was clear. Bless is a known Hebrew rapper who has collaborated with people such as Rah Digga, Gangstarr, Tony Touch , and even 2pac. I played him the beat and we began brainstorming. A couple of weeks later, we shot the video in Montreal and the project was ready to blast onto the net“. [C4]

Here are some important points to remember before watching the video:

The current situation in the Middle East is terrible. There are injustices on both sides of the fence and this video was not made to support any specific view. The goal of the video is to show how we are able to laugh at our own flaws. No matter which race you are, you have been faced with some sort of typecasting. What better way is there to laugh at our own stereotypes? This video does not aim to make fun of religion itself or to compete. It aims at showing the lighter side of Judaism and its multicultural make-up.

Look out for new Bless tracks produced by C4 in the very near future.
