C4 Wins First MTL Beat Battle “The Art of Producing”

I got to admit I was a bit weary when I attended The Art of Producing beat battle this past Saturday that Crown Music Records put on, but I went to support the homie Didier from C4 Entertainment who just so happened to take the big first place prize just like that. Beleive it or not it was pretty live… held over at the Plaza Theater on St-Hubert street there was a couple hundred people who really got into it right away and beleive it or not the quality of beats was pretty spectacular. Not to worry the homie C4 easily took down the competition one by one which included Northern Profits from Toronto who produced the Drake, Bun B and Lil Wayne Uptown joint, as well as a gang of upcoming talent that have obviously putting in a lot of work recently. C4 won 1000$, some Pro Tools and studio equipment as well as the oppertunity of going down to Roc-a-fella studios in NYC to work with Neo da Matrix for day, the one who recently produced the Jadakiss – Can’t Stop Me single that has been killing the radio.

I gotta give a shout to the judges Bad News Brown, DJ Manifest and Neo da Matrix who did their thing and scored things without bias. Primal, Sagi & Justice from Northern Lights, Adam & Dialekt amung others who were right there in the front with me getting wild. Next time around I will definetly be there to support again with a whole other arrangement of producers, considering this event was not as well promoted as it should have been. For those of you who were there and heard the now infamous NHL beat that the homie put together… he just had this logo made by TheLegendsLeague so you already know it’s going to be a big year.
