C4 Wins “Art of producing ” Beat Battle Championship in Montreal! [VIDEOS]
We’re pleased to announce that C4 has won “The Art of producing” , Montreal’s first beat battle July 18th 2009, beating out 32 producers including Big Pops, Arthur Mcarthur and many more of Canada’s best Hip Hop producers. The event took place at Plaza Theatre and was judged by none othen then Neo Da Matrix ( Roc-A-Fella Records) as well as Bad News Brown and Dj Manifest.
The prize included 1000$ cash, Pro Tools 8, M Audio 8×8 Soundcard, Mastering at Planet Studios as well as a trip to NYC to work with Neo @ Roc-A-Fella records for a weekend.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported. Here are some videos from the event. There were 8 rounds total but here 4 for now. if you’d like to hear the NHL Beat which scored 10- 10- 9, you’ll have to wait until the full DVD comes out.

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] The first installment of this series is with Montreal-born, now Toronto resident, C4, whose work many of you probably have heard before, but just haven’t realized it. Not only has he worked with artists like JD Era, Rich Kidd, and Donny Goines, just to name a few, but he has also made his mark on the advertising world by producing ads for corporations like Taco Bell, Hasbro, and most recently, Volkswagen. I got the chance to kick it C4 in his studio, along with my mans Quackass and Adam Bomb (of Empire), and we chopped it up about a multitude of topics, ranging from why he chose to come to Toronto to pursue his music career, to his wish list of artists he’d like to work with, producers/albums that have influenced his sound, the role DJ A-Trak played in mentoring him, his upcoming compilation project that he’s working on, as well as guests that will appear on it, and much more. Ofcourse, we also get to see his studio set-up and get to hear some exclusive beats (see above), including several (check out the “Rocky” and “Hockey Night In Canada” flips)…. [...]
